Welcome to Goomeri State School |
|
Welcome to Goomeri State School Prep to 10, a small family school situated in the South Burnett region.
Goomeri school operates as a caring and supportive environment, where staff, students and parents work together to encourage each student to achieve their potential. Our statement of purpose and our school's values and beliefs demonstrate our desire for students to be well-mannered, caring and acitive members of our small community and we consciously work to achieve this goal.
Our school is well resourced and students are given every opportunity to experience a range and variety of teaching and learning strategies which contribute to their development as individuals. I am sure the time you share with us will see a positive development in your child’s education.
Goomeri State School P-10 is a Phase 4a National Partnership school. A copy of our “Four Year School Strategic Plan” is available for perusal by clicking on the National Partnerships tab. An extensive school community consultation process was undertaken in the development of this plan identifying six key priorities to be addressed:
· Literacy & Numeracy
· Academic Aspiration
· Engagement & Behaviour
· Early Years
· Data
· Student Well-Being
During this process Goomeri’s school motto “Strive To Do Better” was reaffirmed and our school vision “Everyone Learning & Achieving” adopted.
