The Goomeri State School P&C is a group of community minded people, parents and citizens, who take on a more formal role to assist the school by providing:

  • feedback on school policies and activities
  • additional resources to be used to enhance student learning
  • parents with opportunities to be involved in their child's education.

Research has shown that parent involvement in a child's education makes a significant contribution to the child's success at school.


Goomeri State School P&C have fundraised actively working towards air conditioning classrooms in the school.  Their goal now is to cover the multipurpose courts.

In addition to this they have:

  • purchased interactive whiteboards for classrooms
  • assisted the student council in purchasing new lockers
  • continue to pay 50% of the Arts Council so that all students can attend
  • hold a Meet & Greet BBQ for families and staff at the beginning of the year
  • work with Student Council to hold 2 discos a year for students.


Monthly meetings are currently held on the second Wednesday of every month, starting at 1.30pm in the Home Economics room at the school.  The AGM is held in February.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
